Happy and Yet Sad News
It seems when truly fabulous things happen to you something sad always follows. Sort of to keep your life in check. To appreciate other things in your life. It is with the saddest of hearts that I announce the loss of our gordon boy Jazz (Summit Showtime Fifth Avenue) to bone cancer yesterday April 1, 2002. We thought perhaps he had broekn his leg or something so he went to the vets yesterday morning and the x-rays show massive bone cancer. It was devastating to say the least and out eldest son Corey is completely devastated. Jazz was essentially his dog even though he's away at school. He never got to say goodbye. He made the 4 hour drive home from school just the grieve with the family for an evening and was off again at 5:00 this morning back to school to try and resume his life. We had Jazz cremated and will have a ceremony when Corey comes back for another weekend in a few weeks. Hopefully this will give him closure. Thank you to all the setter folks for their outpouring of condolences and concern.
ON a happier note, this past weekend at the Syracuse, NY Circuit we had a fabulous time. On Thursday our then still 14 month old affie boy Samuel went not only WD but BOB over specials for a 4 point major and his first points. On that same day his Cousin Andorrah went WB for a 3 point major and BOS over specials to stand proudly with her cousin. On Friday Andorrah did it again going WB for her final major to finish her at not even 2 1/2 years old. She is now in Cananda for a while (a short while I'm sure) with our good friends Pete and Viv Machen. We miss her terribly but know she is being well cared for and loved. Soon we'll be able to announce her at Am Can Ch. Kavrab Showtime Sweet Dreams. Yeah for our little Dora Doodles.
